Thank you guise for participating in the very first ever Ask the Adipose! We hope you had OODles of fun asking us questions and possibly answering some alongside us. But it’s been a long day and it’s time for the Adipose Army to go to sleep.
If we didn’t get answer your question, don’t fret! This is only the first of hopefully many Ask the Adipose days. Who knows, maybe we’ll answer yours next time.
Ask the Adipose!!
When can we expect adiposecon? c:
Hello Adipose!!! Do you like bow ties?
They’re very cool.
Hello teensy-weensy Adipose! I was wondering what your favourite species in the Whoniverse is? As you can tell from my URL, I quite enjoy Oods. Have you ever met an Ood?
We’re pretty big fans of the daleks!
And no, we’ve never met an Ood, but we’d like to someday!
adipose, what do you do to cheer yourself up when you’e sad?
We’re okay with being sad sometimes.
The Musketeers is one of my favourite shows. What do you think of it? Also, who’s your favourite Musketeer? Mine is Aramis!
We love The Musketeers!
We like Porthos the best.
Hullo, Doctor Who Tumblr here. With series 8 fast-approaching it’s time to get ready and welcome a whole new group of fans to the world of Doctor Who. To make our new Whovian friends feel as comfortable as possible, we thought now would be a fantastic time to celebrate with #NewToWho week!
For the next week we’ll be talking about the time when we were New To Who, the friendships and bonds we’ve made around the show, what being a Whovian means to us, and how we can welcome more people into the Doctor Who fandom. We’ll start tomorrow with a guide for new Whovians with tips on where to start watching and what the show is all about.
Let’s celebrate Whovians all week long and say hello to our new friends!
Dalek + 12
Last week we asked everyone to write some poetry using the hastag #DW Poetry for a chance to win a copy of Doctor Who: The Shakespeare Notebooks from our friends at Harper Collins. We received so many spectacular submissions.
There were sonnets written in iambic pentameter, haikus, poems that rhymed, and some free verse poems, all of which are definitely worth a read.
We randomly selected 10 entries to win and they are:
Congrats everyone, and thanks to all who participated! We’ll be sending out the prizes by the end of the week.
Don’t forget that if you weren’t one of these lucky winners, you can still get your own copy of the book right here.
These are the Doctor Who shoes I painted! Inspired by the 11th Doctor and the 10th Doctor.
I made them to wear for my birthday, which is the day before Season 8 starts. They’re my party shoes for the day of, too!
Most squishiest of Adipose, if you were the Doctor, what would your signature outfit be?
Probably something super cool, like a floral print shirt!
Dear Doctor Who blog,
How do I become a TRUE Doctor Who fan? I’m low on cash, can’t watch it on the Internet, and can’t draw characters very well. What can I do to show my dedication to the great show it is, and let others know as well? Thank you!
Just sending us this ask makes you a true Whovian! In fact, we liked it so much that we drew a fanart of it.
Anyone can be a true Doctor Who fan. The only requirement is liking the show. You can support it in any way you want!
what’s your favourite tv show that’s not doctor who?
We quite like Orphan Black.
We know there’s a lot of patrons who are fans, judging our 50th anniversary party back in November… So here’s our question from the many adoring fans over at Crozet Library: what do you little guys like to read?
We like reading everything!
