I have a hard time sometimes figuring out what is going on.
Kingston: To be honest, I think everybody does, including the actors. The only person who really knows what’s going on is Steven Moffat. It’s all in his head.
You don’t think he ever has to sit down and chart it out or anything?
Kingston: You know what, he’s such a bright, extraordinary man that to be honest, I don’t think he does have to sit and chart it out. I mean, literally, he’s quite amazing. He knows so much; he told me he already had the whole of River Song’s journey plotted out in his head when he first created the character and I’d joined the series when David Tennant was still the Doctor. When I first worked on those two episodes, “The Silence in the Library,” I thought I was just going to be doing a two-episode story arc. I had no idea that there was any sort of future for this character because she actually died. But Steven doesn’t let people go that easily; there’s always a way.
The whole Trib interview with Alex from yesterday afternoon is over here.
Yet, when I say @steven_moffat...playing a long game into the 50th with the arcs of 5/6...
Honestly, every time I try to find fault in Moffat, I come across something like this. He’s completely brilliant.
