Matt Smith and Karen Gillan interview on Radio 1 today

When news broke last week that a Doctor Who movie was in the works, it caused a bit of a stir. Now, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan have spoken about it for the first time.

Responding to a viewer question about it during an interview on Radio 1, Smith said: “I have no idea what it’ll be about, because we’re not really anything to do with it.”

Asked whether the pair will star in it, they replied, “I doubt it.”

Karen added: “There’s always rumours about a Doctor Who film. I remember them saying Johnny Deppwas going to be the Doctor,” to which Matt replied: “He would be a great Doctor.”
