conversation between my boyfriend and i a few days ago

him: what is that thing?
me: that’s the TARDIS.
him: what’s it for?
me: it let’s the doctor travel through time and space.
him: that sounds… retardis.

three episodes later and now he wants to watch it with me.  you can’t resist the power of the doctor.

i’m actually trying to make him so nerdy that no one else will ever want to date him.
