Hugh Bonneville’s Doctor Who Ban

“Hugh Bonneville has revealed he is banned from watching Doctor Who in his house after his young son got scared by the Daleks.

The Downton Abbey actor guest stars in the third episode of the new Doctor Who series as pirate Captain John Avery, but won’t be watching it with his family.

Hugh revealed: “Slightly sore topic. My nine-year-old got so freaked out about Bill Paterson’s demise in the Daleks episode last year, he had some sleepless nights… so we’ve had a slight embargo on Doctor Who at our house, which was annoying for me because I’d got them all recorded and then I had to wipe them all!”
