World Premiere! Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor – Global Simulcast – 2:50pm ET

The centerpiece of BBC AMERICA’s celebrations is the global simulcast of Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary special,Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor, written by Steven Moffat. The Doctors (Matt Smith and David Tennant) embark on their greatest adventure across space and time.

In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

And by the way, whether you’re watching alone or with your family or friends, you will be taking part in the biggest global fandom party there ever was! We’ve put together a Doctor Who Global Celebration Digital Party Pack to help you celebrate! Download it here (10MB zip file.)

When the global simulcast ends, we will return to the BBC America YouTube channel to talk about what we just saw in the Doctor Who 50th Post-Show. We’ll be looking for your reactions via Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, Vine so be sure to share your thoughts.
