So this is it! It’s time to announce the Livetumblring of the GLOBAL television premiere of Doctor Who: The Day of The Doctor!
Immediately following the YouTube live pre show (be sure to watch it b/c we’re featuring tumblr posts from around the world!), we’ll be Livetumblring the worldwide simulcast of the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who!
If you’ve never joined us for a Livetumblring before, it’s where we post gifs, art, and reactions to the blog just as they happen in the broadcast!
That means this is for everyone around the world, whether you’re in Israel or Russia or Brazil, Australia or America as well as the 89 other countries we didn’t list that are simulcasting. LIVETUMBLR IS FOR EVERYONE.
And because our plan is to watch this at least twice today, we’re doing it again for the BBC America evening broadcast where we’ll get to highlight more things made by you guys!
If you’re watching in a cinema, don’t livetumbl with us. Phones are distracting and people might find it rude. Put your phone away, get some snacks and enjoy the show. (We suggest milk duds and popcorn with extra butter! *adipose wobble*)
If you can’t watch with the rest of the world, here’s how to avoid spoilers.
Use Tumblr Savior if you don’t want to see anything. We will tag everything we post with #The Day of The Doctor and #DW Spoilers. If you’re liveblogging with us, we encourage you to do the same so that other people don’t accidentally see things they don’t want to see.
For everyone else watching at home, in a dorm, in a student center, in a pub, please join in! Post your thoughts, emotions, reactions to the tag The Day of The Doctor.
Remember to follow @bbcamerica on twitter for exclusive clips during the show!
And remember to share your DW50 moments with #doctorwho50thlive so that we can get them in the pre-show!
We have one goal today:
to break the record for simultaneous fan tumbling to have THE BEST DAY OF THE DOCTOR EVAR!!!
