GREETINGS, LAND OF WHO
It’s December 13th and that means that there are only Twelve days until Christmas Day and the premiere of ‘Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor’.

Here on the Doctor Who Tumblr, we want to celebrate all the great parts of Doctor Who at Christmas… From our favorite holiday memories, to gifts, food and family, to the upcoming regeneration.
If you want to know how we’ll be celebrating each and every day up until Christmas, click here.
Today we’re kicking off the Twelve DAYS OF DOCTOR WHO on a bittersweet note — 'The Time of the Doctor' will be Matt Smith's final episode as The Eleventh Doctor. Matt Smith is our raggedy man. He taught us that bowties, fezes and fancy vests are cool. He is our mad man with a box.
And Matt, the actual Mr. Smith, is a great actor and an amazingly kind, clever, cool guy. And as Doctor Who Alum, he’s doing interesting things: He’s currently starring in American Psycho the Musical and has a movie coming out next year directed by Ryan Gosling.
Matt may no longer appear in new episodes of Doctor Who, but as much as any of the thirteen actors to play the part, he will always be our Doctor. For the past 3 years and for so many wonderful moments, instead of saying goodbye, this is our opportunity for all of us to say Thank you, Matt Smith.
Say thank you however you’d like. You can write text posts about your feels, share your favorite Matt Smith memories, your fan art, your photos, anecdotes and quotes. We’ll be reblogging our favorites to the blog. So please join us in doing the thing.
