Rose’s mum Jackie at first seemed very materialistic, oblivious, and self-centered, but as the series goes on I’ve begun to realize how brave and strong Jackie really is. She’s basically alone in the world and could easily hate the Doctor for taking her daughter away from her, but she doesn’t. She is fiercely loyal to both Rose and the Doctor and does it all with her pride and humor firmly in place. And that is why Jackie Tyler rocks.
