gracemd: Day 02: What’s your favorite episode (and why)? Vincent and the Doctor definitely. It was the most beautiful episode that I ever watched. I genuinely cried (yes I cried during Doomsday). It was so spectacular. Coming out of losing dear dear Rory to the crack in time, Vincent Van Gogh was an amazing character to see. His understanding of the world and his paintings. I never listen to “Vincent” (as in the song) the same way again. If you watched this episode and didn’t feel at least, MOVED to cry, you must really have a heart of stone. Come on, even when the alien died, it was sad. The scene with Amy, Vincent and the Doctor in the field is one of my favourites. Seeing Bill Nighy (in a bowtie!) talk about how much the world is changed by Van Gogh’s works, Vincent’s tears, the ultimate ginger kids, the tears Amy shed for the loss of a friend… Vincent and the Doctor beats “The Doctor’s Wife” by smidge but it’s my favourite. I won’t be surprised if a lot more similar posts pop up.
