And thus our livetumblring of Doctor Who Series 6 + the specials comes to an close….
SOOOO SAAAAADDDD!
But these are happy creys. We’ve said it before and hopefully proven it during every break — we aren’t going anywhere. We have GINORMOUS plans for 2012.

The new season of Doctor Who will premiere in Autumn 2012 (that’s Opposite-Autumn for you southern hemisphere folks.) That gives us just enough time to launch our Nerdfighter Whovian World Takeover Plan for All of 2012 Or At Least Until Moffat Launches Series 7.

First off, we’ll be tumblring all throughout 2012 with Doctor Who news, events, fanart, reblogs of your stuff and exclusive content from here within the mothership TARDIS.

Second, we want to figure out how to take the amazing Doctor Who Tumblr community IRL. What that means yet? We’re not sure but we’re think Doctor Who + Tumblr Whovian meetups around the Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff and SD Comic-Con could be cool. Maybe even meetups at other DW related cons/events in 2012 as well. Maybe? What do you think?
Additionally, We’re going to be playing the Doctor Who ‘Worlds in Time’ MMO Game a bunch.

And we’ll keep hosting challenges and giving away some fantastic Doctor Who gear in return for you showing us your creative side. (That was fun.)

So yeah. Thanks so much for joining us for all of the livetumblring and reblogging and general awesome fandomosity that is your absolutely fantastic selves. We’ve said it before and you’ve proven it all year long: you are the best fandom there is.

So keep posting, keep tagging, keep following and we’ll keep doing the things we do to make you not unfollow. Words. Order. Grammar. Whatever.

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has confirmed plans for the sci-fi drama to air in the autumn next year.
The 50-year-old, writing in Doctor Who Magazine, dismissed the possibility of the show airing during the summer.
Moffat said: “Doctor Who in the summer? All that running down tunnels, with torches, and the sunlight streaming through your windows and bleaching out the screen? All those barbecues and children playing outside, while on the telly there are green monsters seething in their CGI-enhanced lairs? It’s just not right is it? Be honest.
“For me, as a kid, when the afternoon got darker and there was a thrill of cold in the air, I knew that even though summer was over, the TARDIS was coming back! So yes, that’s part of the plan, that’s part of the reason for this little delay. But it’s not the whole story.”
