BBC Worldwide and Titan Comics team up for all-new Doctor Who comic book adventures.
In the universe of Doctor Who regenerations bring not only a new Doctor but often a fresh look and feel to the series, and BBC Worldwide is bringing that same approach to Doctor Who comics as it signs a new deal with Titan Comics.
The deal will open up the world of Doctor Who and provide fans with new stand alone adventures featuring the Tenth Doctor, Eleventh Doctor and after the new series launch, the Twelfth Doctor. Creative and production teams will be announced in the coming weeks and the first comic books will be released in 2014.

Doctor Who Materializes at London’s Heathrow Airport

There are surprises in store for travellers as Doctor Who comes to life at the UK’s busiest airport, in the run up to the show’s 50th Anniversary
BBC Worldwide has teamed up with Heathrow to celebrate the longest running TV sci-fi series in the world, Doctor Who. From Tuesday 16 July, passengers travelling through Heathrow will be treated to a variety of exciting Doctor Who themed experiences including appearances from the famous Cybermen, TARDIS photobooths, displays of genuine props and memorabilia, and augmented reality hotspots.
Snap pictures of yourself and friends on alien worlds and being menaced by monsters from the comfort of our exclusive TARDIS photobooths. All (time) travellers should make sure they pick up a Doctor Who passport, containing out-of-this-world giveaways including a free episode to download, information about Doctor Who activities in terminal over the summer, and a free digital copy of Doctor Who Adventures Magazine to keep the kids busy.
To mark the launch of the partnership, on July 16 travellers through Terminal 5 will be able to enjoy special performances by the London Philharmonic Orchestra of music from series. In addition, Doctor Who novelist Jenny Colgan, author of the recently released Doctor Who: Dark Horizons will also be signing books for fans on the day.

Steven Moffat, showrunner, said: “We are delighted to announce another extension to Heathrow’s world-beating facilities - all of space and time in a stylish blue box, complete with phone. Heathrow with time travel - nobody need ever be late again.”
This isn’t the first time the TARDIS has landed at the airport. Tegan- companion to the Fourth and Fifth Doctors - was an air stewardess, who challenged the Doctor to return her to Heathrow. He eventually managed in the 1982 adventure,Time-Flight, which used Heathrow as a filming location.

BBC Announces Fourth Doctor Time Capsule Deluxe Box Set

BBC Worldwide is to release a new deluxe Doctor Who box set commemorating the Fourth Doctor,Tom Baker.An online teaser video featuring audio clips from Baker’s era of the Doctor provoked speculation amongst Who fans when it was released online last week.
The clip has now been revealed as a promo for the limited edition ‘Fourth Doctor Time Capsule’ box set, which will contain exclusive content and memorabilia from Baker’s time on the sci-fi drama.The set contains a new interview with Baker and an advance vanilla release of classic adventure ‘Terror of the Zygons’ - set to be released in full later this year.The four-part tale, from writer Robert Banks Stewart, introduces the shape-shifting alien Zygons, who will return to Doctor Who for its 50th anniversary special in November.
With a limited run of 5,000 units, the Time Capsule also includes an exclusive post-regenerative Fourth Doctor action figure - wearing Jon Pertwee’s trademark frill-fronted shirt, a Fourth Doctor sonic screwdriver, an audio version of classic Tom Baker story ‘Genesis of the Daleks’, the novel ‘Tomb of Valdemar’ by Simon Messingham, art cards of all the Fourth Doctor’s companions and a letter from Tom Baker himself.The ‘Fourth Doctor Time Capsule’ will be released on July 29.

La sexta temporada de Doctor Who de la BBC está repartida en dos partes, la primera empieza  en  Estados Unidos en 1960 y fue escrita por el autor principal y el productor ejecutivo Steven Moffat (Sherlock).
