With the premiere of Deep Breath and Series 8 only two days away (!!!!!), things are getting very exciting.
Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman have gone around the world visiting Whovians for the #DWWorldTour, the TARDIS has been getting vital repairs done in preparation for the new series, and us Adipose have been hard at work trying to figure out the best sugar cookie recipe for our screening party! But what about everyone else? Today, let’s talk about what we’ll be doing to celebrate the premiere of Series 8 on Saturday.
Will you be attending a cinema screening with all of your friends? Will you be watching it in your bedroom with your dog, following along on tumblr as we liveblog it?
Do you have to work that day but will still be wearing a Capaldigan in solidarity? What snacks will you be having? Do you have a music playlist? Any particular cosplay plans?
Tell us about your plans in the form of a text post/image/video/selfie/audio/any other post of your choosing and make sure to tag it with #Celebrate Series 8 so we can see it. We’ll be reblogging a whole bunch throughout the day.
JC: I wonder if they’ll ever release any of the outtakes of that…because we did so many different versions of the regeneration scene. (x)
Peter Capaldi, the Twelfth Doctor and Jenna Coleman, his on-screen companion Clara, will be in Cardiff’s St. David’s Hall on Thursday to help launch the new series in style! They will be meeting the public as they walk up the red carpet from 11am, ahead of the world premiere of Deep Breath.
One of the highlights of the day will be a Question and Answer session, featuring Peter and Jenna, that will take place in St. David’s Hall after the premiere of the series’ opening episode. But don’t worry if you don’t have tickets for the screening! We’ll be filming the event and bringing you coverage of the entire Cardiff launch. And we also want your questions to put to Peter and Jenna!
If you have something that you’d love us to ask either Peter Capaldi or Jenna Coleman on your behalf, just let us know by either tweeting us @bbcdoctorwho or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ll select two of the very best questions and put them to Peter and Jenna on Thursday at the Q&A. You’ll then hear their answers in a special video that you’ll be able to watch on this site.
So, start thinking of what you’d like to ask the two stars of Doctor Who… We’d love creative questions that don’t demand episode spoilers…
The event in Wales on Thursday kicks off the Doctor Who World Tour and Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman will be meeting the public as they walk up the red carpet outside Cardiff Central Library, from 11am… But don’t forget to watch out for the Cybermen and Daleks who will be joining them there!
Send your questions to email@example.com and please use the subject header, ‘Peter and Jenna Questions’. We’ll also need to know your name and if under 18, your age. We’re accepting suggestions until noon on Wednesday so don’t delay… and good luck! [x]
In case you missed it!
Titan Comics has revealed the first batch of covers and creator details for its upcoming range of Twelfth Doctor comics, available from 1 October 2014.
Writer Robbie Morrison (The Authority, 2000AD) and artist Dave Taylor (Batman: Death By Design,2000AD) are behind the ongoing series. Plot details and interior cover art are being hidden away behind a locked TARDIS door for now.
The main cover image (above) is by Alice X Zhang. There are five separate retailer incentive covers (below, click each cover for a larger version), including a Capaldi photo cover, a blank sketch cover and an illustrated picture of Clara by Mariano Laclaustra.
Doctor Who: The Twelfth Doctor issue one is available for pre-order in comic shops now. Curiously it will only be available digitally in the UK and Ireland due to licensing restrictions. [x]

We’re kicking off a theme week! Today’s theme is the Doctor’s newest companion: Clara Oswald.
A few weeks ago we announced that BBC America would be displaying Doctor Who fanart at the BBCA booth at San Diego Comic Con. We received an outstanding number of awesome submissions from Whovian artists and featured some on BBC America’s video cube! Which looked something like this:
(Actually it looked exactly like this)
Here’s a slideshow of all the Doctor Who fan art that was chosen to be featured. Unfortunately the music needed to be removed from the video, but maybe if we all sing doo-wee-ooo~ at the same time we’ll all be able to hear it!
