I’m on the Internet! :D
Talking to someone about cosplaying the other day and mentioned I wanted to crochet the 4th Doctor’s scarf. Her reaction was “Won’t the other cosplayers get mad that it’s crocheted, not knitted?”
That’s when I realised it…
Anime cosplayers can be ☂☀☁☂☃☄★s. If the fabric isn’t the EXACT shade, or if your makeup isn’t right, or… whatever, they will tear you to pieces.
Doctor Who cosplayers are all “DUDE! YOU”RE *insert whatever here*” *loud cheering* Seriously. From what I’ve seen, Whovians don’t care if you have a red bow tie or black, converse or tennis shoes, as long as you obviously put work in attempting a cosplay.
This is why I’m a Whovian.

I was so amazed and happy with the amount of cosplayers that showed up. You guys were all awesome. I’m sad that we didn’t get a huge group photo.

Just finished the jacket this week.
Donna dress complete! There are a number of flaws, but I’m fairly happy with it.

Reposting this pic taken by Lily cause I love it so much and it deserves it’s own post xD..
Baaah he was amazing.
And look at me, Liz 10’n it up with a sweater instead of a cape. *FAIL* -.-

Mom makes epic Doctor Who costume for son
Everybody wants to be the Doctor, but unfortunately Matt Smith’s trademark tweed jacket doesn’t come in everyone’s size. Fortunately for this kid, he’s got a crafty mom who found a way to fashion an Eleventh Doctor jacket that fits him perfectly, and she even fashioned his wheelchair into a sweet TARDIS.
Hi Matt and Jenna!! I love your Doctor so much Matt and I can’t wait to see what Jenna brings to the table! :)
To the both of you, how does it feel to see cosplayers put a lot of time, money and effort into essentially copying and wanting to be you? Matt’s doctor has become a really popular one to do and even many Oswin’s have popped up. Do you find it flattering? Anything you’d like to say to the many doctor who cosplayers out there?
Thanks! :D

MATT: Yeah, I love cosplay. If you go to Comic Con, all the guys are in bow ties and tweed jackets or David’s old coat. Or they’ll be in an Oswin dress.
JENNA: I saw, the day before I moved to Cardiff to start this job, a little boy, a mini Doctor! A mini Doctor like literally walked past me with a screwdriver and everything. Just walking past me on the street.
MATT: I think it’s brilliant and it makes those events even more exciting for us to see everyone dressed up.
