This weekend’s Doctor Who Tumblr Creative Challenge:

Show us a room that you think exists within the TARDIS.

Tomorrow’s episode is “Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS” where we’ll see more of the inside of our favorite ship.

Seeing Anglophenia’s post eariler today got us thinking: what other rooms would you expect to find within the TARDIS? Would they be fantastical? Practical? Neither and both and nor?

We want to see what you can come up with.

Create a room that you think would exist in the TARDIS. Show it or describe it in whatever way you like to be creative: a drawing, a painting, a photo, gifs, a short story, a model, a diorama — anything you’d like.

Our example diorama above is what we like to call the Adipose Tumblring Room. It’s where we sit on tumblr all day. It looks like this except it’s more conceptual space. Imagine a banana. Or anything curved…

…actually, don’t, because it’s not curved or like a banana- FORGET THE BANANA!

Which means tonight should be GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

We’ll be joining you from 8/7c until the end of the broadcast to reblog your gifs and fan art and reactions off of the ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Hide’ tags on Tumblr.

After Doctor Who, both BBC America and SPACE are showing an all new episode of Orphan Black and after that, BBC America has a new episode of The Nerdist.

The BBC Doctor Who Blog thinks that ‘Hide’ can be a contender for one of the scariest episodes ever.

Just in case they’re right, we’re building ourselves a sofa pillow fort to hide in while watching the show. And that’s only because our TARDIS tent didn’t arrive in time.

In the meantime, TODAY IS DOCTOR WHO DAY which, quite honestly, is any Saturday that has a new episode except that this Doctor Who Day we’re thinking of new fun things for Whovians to do like celebrating Sonic Sunday on a Saturday.

So let us know if you have ideas for Doctor Who Day stuff everyone can do together.

That’s only because Sundays used to be boring. But that was before Sonic Sunday. Now Sundays are better. Because we looked at them and thought “this could be a little more sonic.” And that made them better. In the meantime, we’re going to form a new fandom called Fans of The Cool Dudes, create a Tumblr blog for our fandom, start our own roleplays, get into heated arguments about who the band’s OTP is, and then decide to break off into separate fandoms for each band member. But we’ll all remain fans of Arthur’s post-Who beard.
