We had a bunch of fun saying hi our Welsh cousins! We made some new friends, paid our respects to a fallen one, and even had lunch at the diner that the Ponds and the Eleventh Doctor once visited!
A selection of props from the hugely anticipated Christmas episode: ‘The Time of the Doctor’, are now on display at the Doctor Who Experience.
Including Matt Smith’s costume; Clara’s costume and the actual Christmas tree from her flat; Handle’s head; the Punch & Judy tent with Victorian style street lamps from the street scenes of Christmas town and the old Doctor’s walking stick and child’s peg gun..
I took this when I went to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff in August, and I was looking back through the pictures and the Angel looks like a really angry mother

The Doctor Who Experience — home to the biggest official collection of Doctor Who props, costumes and sets in the world — today celebrated arrival of the First Doctor’s console room. Watch as the DWE crew assemble the iconic TARDIS console, which was recently used in the upcoming BBC docu-drama An Adventure in Space and Time.

Even though Series 7 has reached its dramatic conclusion, you can still relive the excitement at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, which has recently had a monster invasion!
Grand Marshal Skaldak, the mighty Ice Warrior from Cold War, stands chained to the Russian missile (or is that just his empty armour…?), alongside a tableau from Nightmare in Silver, featuring a new Cyberman, the Chess Automaton game and Warwick Davis’ Porridge costume. You can also see the grotesque Mr Sweet, poking out from Mrs Gillyflower’s beautiful Victorian dress, and the “infernal machine”, which she used to control her rocket.

Doctor Who’s Matt Smith Cements His Place in History - Press Association Interview
Matt made his first visit to The Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. The Doctor Who Experience is the only interactive Doctor Who attraction in the world. It welcomed over 230,000 visitors during a one-year stay at London’s Olympia before moving to Cardiff in July 2012. Since opening in July, over 40,000 fans have passed through the TARDIS doors and taken part in their very own Doctor Who adventure. More here
