I’ve only just begun my studies into the language of Gallifreyan, to be honest. I was looking through the various guides that I’ve collated, and decided on something. A four letter word, the symbols of which weren’t too complicated on their own, but together, the image they formed was one of true beauty. As I was drawing this, I could picture it. Picture it in its full meaning, its entirety, in everything it symbolises in the world. And it’s perfect. Pure, utter perfection. I’ll definitely be trying more Gallifreyan, but no word could be as beautiful to observe as this one.
What’s the word, you ask?
Love.

University Graduation Cap, 2011: Whovian style. A step-by-step process.
My university allows (even encourages) graduating students to decorate their graduation caps, all the better for family members to see. I didn’t decide my design until the night before my graduation ceremony.
Gallifreyan text is so intricate and beautiful, there was no other choice for me. Plus, it spoke of my love for Doctor Who, as well as my status as a nerd, without proclaiming it in large, obvious letters.
Sketched with white colored pencil on black polyester, with the help of circle-shaped objects found around the apartment. Traced with gold puffy paint.
What if instead of primarily working on it on my own with some input via tumblr I put it on a google document for people to view?
