Madame Vastra & Jenny Appreciation Day

doctahwhoo:

Madame Vastra- The Best Minor/Reoccuring Character in Part 1 of Series 6.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate a Victorian Silurian? A well dressed, bad ass Lizard woman? Steven Moffatt has been quoted as to saying that a show revolving around Madame Vastra would be something he’d do. But, he doesn’t have time right now.

Madame Vastra and her companion Jenny both survived the battle with the Headless Monks and as of right now, that is all we know about her.

"You can’t ship that. It doesn’t even make sense!"

This is the internet, dear. We ship a Blue Box with an 900+ year old alien.

And it’s canon.

We also ship a lizard with a 19th Century housemaid.

And it too, is canon.

Georgia Moffett (Peter Davison’s daughter) played The Doctor’s Daughter in the episode ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’

Doctor Who Confidential: Series 4 - The Doctor’s Daughter

David: Peter Davison is Georgia’s dad. There is a… clearly a very strong Doctor Who link there.

Peter: She rang me up I remember she said: “Can I tell you my first line?” And I said yeah, go on then, “It’s ‘Hello, Dad!” [laughing]

Georgia: The first line was “Hello Dad” and I was like Oh my God.

30 Days of Doctor Who: Day 27 - What scene makes you hide behind the sofa?

ajbackst:

The deformed Ganger Jenny scene O_O

Doctor Who never truly scared the crap out of me till this moment.

This is fuel for nightmares galore.
