minivinnie asked: What should I do? I have tickets to the Day of the Doctor screening on Monday, November 25th, but I also have BBC America to watch it on Saturday. Should I see it live with everyone else and just have a heighted experience of it in 3D on Monday OR should I lock myself in a room from Saturday to Monday trying to avoid spoilers to see it for the first time in theaters Monday?
We’re doing the “Watch Several Times on Saturday AND Then Again on Monday” option because why not?
lait-de-rose asked: I'm actually worried about tumblr servers crashing down due to doctor who posts flood on the 23rd
Save The Day Indeed.
clomandhismerryweasel asked: I think the TARDIS's Translation technology was malfunctioning for the last ask.
marielobos asked: Ghjjmmbdbfggjjvb
makinbacon-pancakes asked: So for the #savetheday tardis thing can we # from tumblr or is it still mainly for instagram and facebook and stuff
It’s only Insta-gram and the Facebooks and the Twitters.
We think it’s because we threatened joked that we wanted to flood the tag with dancing Barrowman gifs.
It’s quite possible that they took us seriously.
btw, if you haven’t visited the doctorwhosavetheday site, you really should. There’s video and fan art and stuff and it’s all pretty cool.
Here are some more recommendations from our ask box:
itwillonlytakeaminute: The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances are great spooky episodes. Definitely creeped me out.
bmanlovesthecontrol: I would go with the god complex. It’s a great episode that has just the right amount of creepy to it.
magnetocerebro: Good Halloween episode? The Classic Who episode “The Happiness Patrol" always creeps me out because the Candy Man is a bad guy *made of candy* and people get *turned into candy* and he makes candy that will *kill you with its sweetness* and let’s be real if you can make candy evil, everything is scary after that.
smallaustralian: I absolutely LOVE Hide. It is a beautiful love letter to classic horror and possibly my favourite script of Series 7.
yeltsinsstar: Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead are also highly recommended.
kaitlynface asked: What does the Tardis taste like?
wackd asked: I'd recommend The Ark in Space, personally. I don't care that the Wirrn are obviously spray-painted bubble-wrap--if you don't find the prospect of being simultaneously eaten alive and programmed into a hive mind terrifying, there's something wrong with you.
“simultaneously eaten alive and programmed into a hive mind”
Are you talking about the episode or are you talking about tumblr?
whointheverse asked: I'm getting ready to plan my annual Halloween movie marathon, and wanted to throw some Who into the mix. Question: What would be the perfect Doctor Who episode for a Halloween party?
(Or rather DO blink. We mean DON’T blink. We mean DO WATCH Blink.)
Anybody have any other suggestions?
tennowman asked: When someone says "... is my Doctor!" does it mean he's your favourite Doctor or your first Doctor. And does "first Doctor" mean the Doctor in the episode you first watched (ex. series 1, episode 1 → Nine) or the era you joined (2013 (ex. after 11 announced he's going to leave) → Twelve)?
thefrozengallifrey asked: So, there's two weeping angels in my town. What do I do?
Sorry. We had to lend it to Matt and Jenna so that they could make their way to San Diego.
okay, i have a question.. i’ve been wondering for a bit. how did u get the url “doctor who”? it must’ve been taken before you guys were on tumblr? did you pay the person with the url to give it to you?
Answer: BRB TARDIS.
anonymous asked: Hi, I live in America and I keep seeing all this stuff about the Doctor Who Proms. I looked on the schedule that BBC America has and I can’t find anything about it! Is it not available in America? Because I would really love to see it! :)
We’ve asked the programming team for an update. We’ll post it soon!
