Smash live show hit Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular returns to Australia and New Zealand with a brand new tour in 2015, performing for the first time in Auckland, Adelaide and Perth, plus returning to Sydney where it received a rapturous response from audiences in 2012.
The show will be hosted once more by Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison, who will take to the stage alongside Daleks, Cybermen and a host of other Doctor Who monsters in this musical celebration of the iconic TV series.
The new show will feature music from the upcoming new series of Doctor Who and specially edited sequences of Peter Capaldi’s debut as the Twelfth Doctor, as well as fan favourites from recent and classic series.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on 18 August.

Fans will be able to don their 3D glasses and take their enjoyment into another dimension as Doctor Who celebrates its 50th anniversary with special 3D screenings of The Day of the Doctor at 87 cinemas across Australia!
The hotly anticipated feature-length episode of the world’s longest-running and most successful sci-fi series will be screened at Events, Hoyts, Dendy, Village and Independent cinemas around the country on November 24th. In addition to Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman, the one-off 75 minute special stars former Time Lord David Tennant as well as Billie Piper and John Hurt. In this special event to celebrate the iconic British drama series, fans will be able to enjoy the episode and specially shot introductions for cinema audiences all around the world.

Doctor Who celebrations continue apace in Australia, as BBC Worldwide announces the arrival of its first dedicated Doctor Who e-commerce site with free delivery Australia-wide.
Fans who want to mark the show’s 50th anniversary with a keepsake or a gift can now get direct access to the latest and most popular products at the official BBC Worldwide Australia website: www.doctorwho50store.com.au.
Over 400 clothing, merchandise, toys and DVD products from the world’s longest running sci-fi series will be available to purchase including:
- Gadgets, from Vortex Manipulators to a nano-recorder injector.

From 6.50pm on Saturday 1st June, 2013, Doctor Who was seen as never before. The Doctor was projected onto Customs House Sydney. Watch the Doctor travel through space and time encountering some of his famous foes.

The grand façade of the Customs House at Circular Quay will feature a visual feast of 3D-mapped projections of the Doctor and some of his greatest enemies, NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Stoner, announced today.
The spectacular celebration of Doctor Who will be staged for fans as part of Vivid Sydney, on Saturday, 1 June. The soundscape with the projections will feature music from the TV show including I am the Doctor and the iconic theme tune.

A Doctor Who fan’s paradise will land in Sydney with Australia’s first ever Doctor Who pop-up shop opening its doors on Thursday 9 May at 7 Wilson Street, Newtown.
The Doctor Who pop-up shop will feature exclusive merchandise not currently available in Australian stores including the Doctor Who home range, which boasts a selection of stylish teapots, mugs, tea towels, notebooks, laptop covers and more.
Also on offer will be the popular range of toys, gifts, DVDs and books that Australian fans love and as a special treat fans will have the opportunity to have their photo taken in-store with a Dalek and a replica TARDIS.

For those of us in Australia: Doctor Who Series 7.2 returns to ABC TV, Sunday March 31 at 7.30pm
For the first time in Australia, Doctor Who fans will be able to see two high definition episodes of Doctor Who on the big screen, in a special cinema event as part of the celebrations for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary year.
For one night only on Thursday 14 March at 7pm, fans can experience ‘The Impossible Astronaut’ and ‘Day of the Moon’ from Series 6 in HD, a two-part story which introduced the newest monster created by series executive producer and showrunner Steven Moffat – the Silence. Screened in Australia and New Zealand, this will be a world-first multiple cinema screening for Doctor Who.
Taking place at select Event Cinemas, Greater Union and Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas and Village Cinemas across the country, there will be a ‘best dressed’ prize at each cinema for the Doctor Who fan with the most impressive costume, from Time Lords to Monsters.

The 50th Anniversary season of classic Doctor Who stories on UKTV in Australia and New Zealand continues with The War Machines.
The four-part story is broadcast on Sunday 27th January at 4:15pm (New Zealand) and 4:30pm (Australia). New Zealand has another screening for The War Machines on Monday 28th January at 4:00am.
The 1966 story was first broadcast in Australia in 1967. New Zealand viewers saw it in 1969.
UKTV is showing stories every Sunday throughout the year in the lead-up to the anniversary in November.
From next week the focus shifts to the Second Doctor, with The Tomb of the Cybermen scheduled for 3rd February, followed by The Dominators (10th), The Mind Robber (17th), and The Seeds of Death (24th).
