“I may be inexperienced, but I did graduate from the Academy with a triple first. ”
"What they don’t understand about birthdays and what they never tell you is that when you’re eleven, you’re also ten, and nine, and eight and seven, and six, and five, and four, and three, and two, and one." -Sandra Cisneros, "Eleven"
Oh no this is super adorable
I finally stopped to take a closer look at this and oh my GOD this is amazing.
"Sean Pertwee: My Dad Jon was ‘very fond’ of Peter Capaldi"
From promo photos to their costumes, eagle-eyed fans have long been noticing certain similarities between new Doctor Peter Capaldi and the third incarnation of the Time Lord, Jon Pertwee. Well now his son, actor Sean Pertwee, has revealed that the two were friends.
Pertwee, who plays villain Sarazin in BBC1’s The Musketeers alongside Capaldi as Cardinal Richelieu, has been talking about his love of the actor and how close he is to his family.
"My father was very fond of Peter and Peter is an extremely lovely gentleman," he told PA. "He was very kind to my family when my father passed away, he was big fan of my dad’s actually. So personally the Pertwee household were absolutely delighted when he got the role of The Doctor."
He also gave his thoughts on how the 55 year-old Capaldi will fare after the fresh-faced tenure of Matt Smith.
"I think he’s going to bring some real gravitas and weight, which only comes with age. Taking nothing away from Matt (Smith), who I thought was great, I just think he’s going to stupendous. He’s going to have a completely different look.
"He’s such a phenomenal actor anyway I think he’ll be absolutely brilliant. I’m delighted he’s doing it." (x)
The Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane
Kate O’Mara in her last-ever interview, with Misty Moon 10/19/13, on her good friend Colin Baker’s reaction to her playing the Rani…. and her revenge XD
We’re sad to report the death of Kate O’Mara, who played renegade Time Lord the Rani on Doctor Who.
"A shining star has gone out and Kate will be dearly missed by all who knew and have worked with her," said agent Phil Belfield, who labelled the actress "extraordinary".
On hearing the news of her death, Doctor Who co-star [Colin] Baker tweeted: “Oh my goodness. Kate O’Mara is no longer with us. Sad sad news. A delightful, committed and talented lady and actress. We are the poorer.”
The actress last posted a message on Twitter on 17 March.
"Thank you so much for your kind tweets," she wrote.
"It’s both humbling and completely overwhelming to read all of your messages. Much Love x." (x)
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the Third Doctor’s colorful insults
