Perhaps the most touching thing that has ever happened to me ever? A girl around age 7 came up to me and offered me an “Ask me about Adipose,” ribbon.
I got down on one knee to talk to her; I asked her what she knew about Adipose. She replied, “I think they’re disturbing.”
Then she handed me a second ribbon that said, “Where’s Rose?” And said, “I want you to have another one because you’re my favorite Doctor.”
Her mother took photos of us together and those are forthcoming. What an awesome feeling. I can just imagine how Matt Smith feels. Such a cool little Whovian!

GEEKING OUT because right now MARK SHEPPARD is talking with my son, who is dressed like the Eleventh Doctor, and fixing his bow tie. OMG

The last of my Gally ribbons are hereeeee! And I really hope I’ll be able to get rid of them all before the end of the con.
Also, if anyone wants any of these ribbons and they’re not coming to Gally, let me know (send me an Ask or a Fan Mail) so I can set one aside for you.
WE SHOULD HAVE A BIG TUMBLR HANG OUT!
We’re (Doctor Who Tumblr) not going to be able to make it but you should all go and meet up. Take a picture of everyone holding up a big #TumblrWhovians sign or something. Wear matching fezzes. Or sonic screwdrivers.

The 23rd annual Gallifrey One North American fan convention is about a week away…
At the Chicago TARDIS convention today, Peter Davison was on stage for a Q&A, and everyone was asking typical questions about his work as the Doctor. Then a girl comes up to the mic and says something like, “I just wanted to tell you that I started watching you as the Doctor when I was 14 and I was really depressed. And I just wanted to let you know that you really helped me through everything. And thank you for that.”
It’s sort of amazing to remember, even amongst all of the drama and fights and wars we may see on tumblr, how much this show means to so many people and how much of an effect it can have, especially to someone who needs it.

BBC Worldwide have announced details of the first ever official Doctor Who Convention (since the series’ reboot). The event will take place March 24th and 25th 2012 at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Wales – the current home of the show.
Billed as the ‘Ultimate Doctor Who Fan Event’, there are just 1500 tickets available for each of the days – the programme is the same on each day to give attendees the most in depth experience possible. Autograph and photo opportunities will also be available with attending cast members and there will be official Doctor Who merchandise and collectables on sale.
Tickets are priced £99 will go on general sale on November 14th from 9am from: www.dwconvention.com.

Doesn’t Ian look jolly? hehe. This picture is pretty epic though, considering everyone who is in it.
