Hi guise, Doctor Who Tumblr here letting you know that the blog just hit HALF A MILLION TUMBLR FOLLOWERS.

We were thinking of how we could celebrate, so we looked back at all of our favorite moments in the history of the Tumblr. We re-read the posts from when we hit 25,000 followers and 100,000 followers and we tried to think of something new to say to celebrate half a million…

But then we realized that those celebration posts say exactly the same things that we would say today:

This Tumblr is for you. It is made up of your posts. These are your followers.

Whether we’re talking to one Doctor Who fan or half a million, we’re all part of the same Doctor Who Tumblr. Here’s to all the adventures we have left to go on together!

It’s Whovian Wednesday which made us so excited that we had to try assembling a cabinet in anticipation of all the new Doctor Who stuff we’re expecting to get for Christmas, Last Night of Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice and Festivus this year (Adipose come from a big family) and that’s when we realized that we couldn’t actually make a cabinet because we didn’t have tools (and stubby little Adipose hands)…

No, Rory, we ca— OH YES WE CAN!!! We have this amazing sonic screwdriver app to sonic it with!!! GOOD THINKING RORY!!!

In fact, we have eleven download codes for it so we’re going to keep one for ourselves for our cabinetmaking and we’re going to give away the other 10 Sonic Screwdriver app download codes in a random giveaway thing!

Here’s how this will work:
We want to know what would you do if you had a real sonic screwdriver? Post your answer to your blog and tag your post #If I Had A Sonic.
Your post can be text or art or a drawing or even that crazy “create gifs with your webcam!” thing HelloFromTumblr keeps telling us about.

We’ll gather the entries by 7AM EST tomorrow morning (December 5th), and pick 10 winners at random.
And we’re sorry, we’re so so sorry rest of the planet Outside of the Fifty States, but this giveaway is only open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia.) We also only have download codes for iPhone and iPod users, so extra double so-so sorry!

For the rest of the world, #Whovian Wednesday is a global thing because it just is no matter what the legal people tell us so just do the thing.
For those entering #If I Had a Sonic — good luck!

You can watch it now on YouTube.

Thus ends the Doctor Who Tumblr livetumblring of The Day of The Doctor!

Thanks so much for hanging with us.

The DW Celebration was fun.

The day was fun.

The YouTube Doctor Who 50th Live Pre-Show was fun.

And the Doctor Who 50th… well, we hope you enjoyed every second of it as much as we did.

And by “enjoyed every second” we mean “we DVR’d it and paused every moment to savor its goodness.

We’ll be posting more stuff in the coming hours including inside looks, behind the scenes pics and more.

Because you know us:

We’ve been sending out so many Whovian party packs recently we were wondering if the universe was going to send us something in return, and LOOK WHAT MATERIALIZED AT THE BBC AMERICA OFFICE TODAY! A TARDIS, specifically the very first TARDIS Matt Smith used as the Eleventh Doctor!!!!!!!

We will treasure it dearly and promise not to use it to fast forward to November 23rd or use it to get to work on time when we oversleep.

*I gave my english teacher one of the balloons because he’s the reason I started watching DW and he’s super awesome*
