"I love— I have a very close soft spot for Karen. I love Karen. She’s my great, great friend. And she’s just so ridiculous, I can’t even begin to tell you. Y’know, she seems like, "[imitating Karen’s accent] Oooh, nooo, I’m in a world of my own," but actually, she’s very smart, and she’s really clever, and she’s very funny, and she’s a great drinking buddy as well, so…I’d run through a brick wall for Kazza. I would.” -Matt Smith

50 DAYS OF DOCTOR WHO 50th //  Invent a new feature for the Sonic Screwdriver.
→ it can do wood

After many complaints by numerous companions, the Sonic Screwdriver finally got the feature everyone’s been waiting for - it does wood! Altho, the importance of the feature is still being discussed, the most frequent user is quite satisfied. “I’ve said numerous times - always take a banana to a party - and now everybody can!” the Doctor exclaimed.

"If you’re a Doctor Who fan, then you might want to listen carefully to next week’s episode of BBC crime drama Shetland."

Episode five of the whodunit?, starring Douglas Henshall as Detective Inspector Jimmy Perez, is set to feature a sneaky uncredited audio-cameo from the twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi; who will be treating viewers to the unmistakable sound of his voice via a radio weather forecast.
Adapted from the novels by Ann Cleeves, the detective drama follows DI Perez’s murder investigations on the Shetland Islands. It’s also executive produced by Peter Capaldi’s wife, Elaine Collins - which, no doubt, explains the surprise. (x)

Episode five airs April 8th on BBC1 at 9PM.
