It’s that time of the week again- a new episode of Doctor Who and with it, a new spoiler warning!
Here at Doctor Who Tumblr we love to see what everybody’s thinking and making with the premiere of a new episode, and we just as much love to share those things with everyone else. Because of this, it might be easy to have the episode spoiled for you if you’re not watching with us right as it premieres.
Luckily we have some handy tools for enjoying all that is tumblr while still remaining unspoiled, those being tumblr savior and x-kit. Out of respect for those who can’t watch the episode with us, we tag all of our spoiler-heavy posts with #DW Spoilers and the episode title. Using tumblr savior or xkit allows you to block those tags so they don’t show up on your dash at all! (tip: with XKit you’ll have to install the “Blacklist” extension and add the word from there.)
Both of those websites linked above have detailed instructions on how to install and you can definitely ask around Tumblr if you run into any problems. Not much longer until the new episode, we’ll see everyone at 9/8c on BBC America!
The Doctor Who Tumblr is at New York Comic Con! We bumped into some old friends and made sure to give them a HUGE Whovian hello from you guise!

WHY IS YOUR HEADER BBC AMERICA. I'M SO CONFUSED. YOU HAVE AWESOME TAGS. AND YOU LIKE TALK TO EVERYONE LIKE NOT-OFFICIAL-TV-SHOW-BLOGS.
Doo wee ooo! (This is part 2 of 2 for anyone just joining us.)
We spend lots of our time at the BBC Worldwide offices. They have cupboards full of tea, good wifi and lots of comfy places to sit.
We especially like to sit near the BBC America TARDIS. Factoid: it’s the Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith's original TARDIS. ( ﾟoﾟ)Here we are hanging out with our friend, Herb Scannell, President, BBC Worldwide America. nbd.
spoopyscarysupersoldiers said: wait, so if you're the actual official dw tumblr, why are you using words like sadipose? oh my gosh. wait. bbc lets you actually do stuff?? is this like someone on the bbc staff's side blog????? this is weird like i'd always though there was just a machine or queue or something reblogging things in the dw tag sometimes. there's a person. adding gifs to posts and saying things like sadipose. i have had an epiphany. epiphanies aren't good for sick people. oh my gosh.
Hello, Doctor Who Tumblr here.
Yep. We’re here everyday checking the tags, reading your asks & hoping you feel better when you aren’t feeling very well - we hope you do.
Our reply to your second ask is coming up. Click here for part 2 of 2.
wee-bit-breid said: I bet the Doctor Who Tumblr is actually run by Clara. There's no way the Doctor himself would make all these silly replies XD Especially the Twelfth. He's far too serious! ...Unless it's the TARDIS doing it herself? Tell us, who runs this Tumblelog?
It was a long time coming yet it seemed to go by so fast!
If you’re watching on bbcamerica keep watching for the world premiere of intrudersbbca followed by the Doctor Who live post-show, After Who Live with nerdist's Chris Hardwick, Mark Gatiss, Dan Starkey (Strax!), Alton Brown, and nataliemorales!
We are still tagging our Deep Breath posts with #dw spoilers and #deep breath so if you haven’t seen the episode yet, block those tags. (Unless you’re already blocking those tags which means you’re not reading this post which means there’s no point in you reading these words.)
In the meantime, enjoy the After Who! We’ll be in our dash all night looking at your reactions and sending things up to the blog here and there so, you know, heads up.
Cheers, you hugging and non-hugging persons you!
Us right now.
Today’s a pretty great day, what with the announcement of the London stop of the Doctor Who World Tour and all, but tomorrow’s going to be even better—because tomorrow is Reply Day!
Yep, you heard us right. We’re going to be answering questions, from anyone about (almost) anything all day. Our inbox and tags are always crammed full of the most fascinating and fantastical queries, advice, and tales, but tomorrow we’re finally going to sit down at our little Adipose desk and dive deep into the world of REPLIES.
If you have any questions you’d like answered by the army of Adipose (or whichever ones decide to show up tomorrow), make a text post, photoset, video, drawing, or anything else you can think of and post it to your blog with the tag #Ask the Adipose.
Some sample questions:
As you can see, the possibilities are practically infinite, so we’re sure you’ll have some great questions for us. It’s going to be a fantastic time and we can’t wait to get answering!
The Doctor Who Tumblr is at Vidcon!

30 Days of Summer Time Doctor Who
Hello, Whovians and happy summer! With all this sunshine and fun times going on, we thought to ourselves “hey, we should do a thing.”
So we figured why not start a 30 Days meme?
Each day, starting tomorrow, June 21, make a post responding to the day’s challenge. It can be text, an image, your art, a video - whatever you think works best for your answer. Post it to your blog with the tag #30 Days of Doctor Who and we’ll go through and reblog some of our favorites.
30 days is a lot of dayage, so don’t worry if you can’t do all of the days. The point is to have fun with this and be creative!
So have at it:
We’re at the David Tennant cinema event!
We visited Tumblr HQ today and met some of the lovely Whovians who work there!
