Did I mention I got a TARDIS bath robe at Comic Con today? I wanted it because of reasons.
Nice grab. Everyone not at San Diego Comic-Con can pre-order them online at BBCAmericaShop.com.
If you picked up Doctor Who swag at Comic Con today, share it with everyone by tagging it #DWSDCC!
Our siblings over at Anglophenia have a photo gallery of even more Whovians in Dalek hats including our favorite celebrity Whovian, Chris Hardwick.
Go check out the rest over at BBCAmerica.com
So it seems as if quite a few people took our advice last night and popped by the BBC America booth (#3629) at Comic Con to get a free Dalek foam hat. We took a walk around to find and photograph them in the wild.
Can we tell you how stoked we were to see bunches of Daleks floating through the aisles? We giggled, okay. Gig. gled.
If we can get everybody to show up at Sunday’s Doctor Who panel in Hall H wearing one of these… we’d just… you know….

Be sure to stop by the BBC America booth to find out when they’re handing them out again.
So yeah, we turned the BBC America booth into a Void Ship today. nbd.
We’ve made a Facebook event for the Doctor Who panel in Hall H. Join us!
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan make their triumphant return to Comic-Con International for a panel and Q&A moderated by Doctor Who pundit and creator of the Nerdist, Chris Hardwick. They will be joined by star Arthur Darvill, who’s making his first pilgrimage to SDCC, along with award-winning lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat (Sherlock) and award-winning executive producer Caroline Skinner (The Fades).
A visual tour of stuff available at the BBC America booth (#3629) today…
@rattyburvil: We’re going to San Diego. ‘cause that’s where all the kids go.
Starting Thursday, swing by the BBC America booth (#3629) at San Diego Comic-Con to say hello (because we’re nice) and grab a free Dalek foam hat!
Modeled here for us by the fine folks from the BBC America Shop (See? Didn’t we tell you that they were good sports?) the Dalek foam hat is adjustable, lightweight and designed to fit the head of everyone including Sontarans.

Seriously, you should get one of these hats especially if you plan on attending Sunday’s Doctor Who panel in Hall H. How awesome would it be if Matt, Karen, Arthur, Steven, and Carol got on stage to find themselves staring down a sea of (foam) Daleks?
Seriously. This is something we all need to do.
Seriously.

It got ridonkulously crowded at the BBC America booth but everyone was excited and in good spirits. That’s probably because everybody had a chance to purchase new exclusive Doctor Who gear, see demos of the Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote, and get these awesome (and free) ‘Keep Calm and Comic-Con’ BBC America lanyards! We even handed out a few of these ourselves, joking with everyone in line and starting group cheers and other things.
If you’re in San Diego for Comic Con, come by the booth tomorrow (#3629) to say hello and grab a ‘Keep Calm and Comic-Con’ lanyard for yourself.
We’re excited to share this one. A sonic screwdriver television universal remote.
Can we say that one more time? A SONIC SCREWDRIVER UNIVERSAL REMOTE(!!!)
The Wand Company - known for developing the World’s first infrared remote control magic wand and BBC Worldwide today reveal a must-have accessory for Doctor Who fans – the Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control. Join BBC Worldwide in the North American unveiling of the remote control at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, in BBC AMERICA booth #3629 starting preview night July 11 through the end of Comic Con.
A high quality metal replica of the Mark VII Sonic Screwdriver currently used by the Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, the new Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control is a gesture-based universal remote control that utilises infrared (IR) technology to manipulate almost all earth-based home entertainment systems - from TVs and iPod docks to DVD/Blu-ray players and beyond.
With a green flashing tip and an impressive four operational modes – including a practice mode – and three memory banks, a total of 39 commands can be stored in the Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control, giving the option of operating multiple home entertainment devices with just a different flick of the wrist.
We just played with it at the BBC America booth and it’s pretty easy to use. It’s also really really cool.
It goes on sale August 31, 2012 exclusively for the first 60 days at ThinkGeek and the BBC America Shop in the US, and Forbidden Planet and Firebox.com in the UK.
In the meantime, stop by the BBC America booth (#3629) at San Diego Comic Con to check it out.

Booth signings with The Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick on Thursday, Doctor Who Executive Producer Caroline Skinner on Saturday, Merlin’s Colin Morgan and Katie McGrath on Saturday, and demos of Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock every day.
btw, we ran into our first Eleventh Doctor cosplay as soon as we walked in the door. He doesn’t have a Tumblr but his Twitter handle is @twittalot.
We’re inching ever closer to the first ever Doctor Who Tumblr Meetup at San Diego Comic Con!
First: the important news: We will be pushing out the next batch of RSVPs later this week. Frankly, we weren’t able to give everyone a decent heads up today. So instead we’ll give you fair warning on batch #2.
In the meantime, we continue to answer your questions via our Ask so ask away.
Again. Thanks for your patience. We know you have your choice of Official Tumblrs and that your dashboard space is valuable. An operator will be with you shortly.
