WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

This is it! The episode we’ve all been waiting for and our last Saturday livetumblring announcement of the season. It seems so soon and yet we’ve been through so much (and we’re only speaking of the past week!)

In less than 10 minutes, the UK will see the season finale of Doctor Who Series 7: The Name of the Doctor.
Six hours later, the US and Canada will have their debut and then Australia about 10 hours after that.
(See the full worldwide schedule here.)
We will be livetumblring tonight’s 8pm ET BBC America Premiere of The Name of the Doctor.

We’ll be online from 8/7c until the end of the broadcast reblogging your gifs and fan art and reactions as we find them on the tags ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘The Name of the Doctor.’

If you haven’t been here for a livetumblring before, it’s where we blog moments from the episode just as they’re happening on the broadcast.

And we’re sorry. We’re so sorry but because we’re livetumblring in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers.

If you’re going to be liveposting any of these broadcasts be sure to let your followers know (and tag your posts as spoilers!)

We’ll be using the tags ‘spoilers’ ‘dw spoilers’ and ‘The Name of the Doctor’. If you can’t watch the episode until later this weekend, you can avoid spoilers by installing Tumblr Savior for your browser. Trust us: you’ll be happy you did.

If you’re using the Tumblr mobile app or if the Tumblr Savior stuff is too much to deal with, consider unfollowing us and then refollowing us after you watch the episode.

After Doctor Who, there will be a new episode of Orphan Black on BBC America and Space Channel at 9p EDT, and at 10p on BBC America, it’s a new episode of The Nerdist.
If all goes well, if all goes according to plan, we’ll have something special to post after the broadcast aside from the behind the scenes videos and storyboards and production galleries…
… and of course, we’re talking about the new clip featuring the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors!!!!!!!

In the meantime, it’s Doctor Who Day which means that we’re reblogging your Season Finale setup pics from the Doctor Who Day tag. What are you wearing? What are you eating? Who are you with? We want to know.

There’s still also time for you to get your autograph in for our wall at the Doctor Who Tumblr office at BBC America... Make us a fan sign, some fan art, a selfie with your Tumblr url. Post it to your blog. Submit it through this form. We’re collecting all of them to make a poster out of it for everyone to see whenever they come through the New York office of BBC America — Doctor Who cast, crew, writers, the BBC America staff, and us. You are special and amazing and we want people to know this.

So that’s it! Today is a big day. Message us if you have questions. In the meantime, we’re going to get going!

We weren’t going to do a livetumblring announcement today but then our inbox was flooded with “WHERE’S THE LIVETUMBLRING ANNOUNCEMENT?” asks so….
We are livetumblring tonight’s U.S. BBC America Premiere of Doctor Who: Cold War!

Привет, товарищи! (Hello Comrades!)

This is your friendly weekly announcement that we will be LIVETUMBLRING tonight’s U.S. premiere of Doctor Who: Cold War.

If you’ve never joined us for a livetumblring before, let us tell you what it’s all about.

Livetumblring is a ritual of the Doctor Who Tumblr where Whovians gather around their TVs and Tumblr dashboards to watch the new episode of Doctor Who.
We live-reblog your gifs and pics and reactions to this episode as soon they happen on The Old God television. If we were all in a room together we’d sort of look like this:

Livetumblring starts at 8pm EDT and ends around 9:15pm EDT. After that, we comb all of the episode-related tags so we can find for more of your posts.
And we’re sorry. We’re so sorry, but because we’re doing it in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers.

If you need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. Click this link for instructions on how to install it for all browsers.
We will tag all of our posts ‘Cold War’ and ‘Spoilers’ so blacklist these two tags.
If you cannot install Tumblr Savior or if you’re using the Tumblr app,you should consider unfollowing and refollowing us later.
If you plan on liveblogging tonight’s episode, make sure to warn your followers as well because unintended spoilers are everywhere!

After Doctor Who, BBC America is showing an all new episode of the what we think is the insanest new sci-fi show on television, Orphan Black…

…and then there’s an all new episode of The Nerdist with a special appearance by Arthur Darvill!!!!!!

No really for real! You can watch a clip of Arthur on The Nerdist as one of “The Cool Dudes” here.
So see everyone in a few hours. In the meantime, we’re going to form a new fandom called Fans of The Cool Dudes, create a Tumblr blog for our fandom, start our own roleplays, get into heated arguments about who the band’s OTP is, and then decide to break off into separate fandoms for each band member. But we’ll all remain fans of Arthur’s post-Who beard.
Cheers!

btw thx to amywiliams for helping fix our Russian!

Livetumblring tonight’s U.S. Premieres of Doctor Who: The Angels Take Manhattan!
Hello Fellow Feelers of Feelings!

Today we will embark on a thing we like to call “The Purposeful Inducement of Creys Through The Indirect Application of Damn Good British Television To Our Brain Parts” also known as “watching Doctor Who.” In 30 minutes we will be liveposting gifs and quotes and screencaps and reactions to the east coast and west coast U.S. premieres of Doctor Who: The Angels Take Manhattan.

This will take place from 9p-10p EDT, after which we’ll take a break to dry our eyes and take our blood pressure, we will post some non-spoilery Who things to act as a buffer, and then livetumbl again from 9p-10p Pacific Time.

(Yes, again. We’re committed that way.) And a reminder — because we’re doing it in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers during these hours!

If you need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. <— Click that link for instructions on how to install it for all browsers. We will tag all of our posts ‘The Angels Take Manhattan’ so blacklist it. These here words are really big to make sure that you are reading them and that you will not be surprised when your dashboard is full of spoiler spoilerings.

If you cannot install Tumblr Savior and find it impossible to live without Tumblr for the evening, you should consider unfollowing and refollowing us. If you plan on liveblogging, make sure to tell your followers as well!

See everyone soon.

Alert! We Will Be Livetumblring tonight’s U.S. Premieres of Doctor Who: The Power of Three!
Hello Whovians!

This is your regular Saturday warning that in one hour we will be liveposting gifs and quotes and screencaps and reactions to the east coast and west coast U.S. premieres of Doctor Who: The Power of Three! And we will accomplish this feat, sitting on a couch, in front of a television while in our pants.

This will take place from 9p-10p EDT, after which we’ll take a break to put some American pants on top of our English pants, post some non-spoilery Who things to act as a buffer, and then livetumbl again from 9p-10p Pacific Time.

YAY! The Doctor’s Wife will be on at the same time east coast *AND* west coast time!

BBC America will be airing the premiere of Doctor Who “The Doctor’s Wife” at 9p EDT and 6p PDT. This means that EVERYONE CAN HANG OUT WITH US ON TUMBLR AT THE SAME TIME!!!ALLCAPS!!
Even so, we’re going to still livetumbl the 9p PDT showing and we’re going to like it.

We made the mistake of assuming that time zones were a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear network television viewpoint, it’s more like a big bowl of wibbly wobbly timey wimey…. Oh, you know.
Thx for the heads up, Brianna!

Livetumblring “The Doctor’s Wife” tonight.

This is your weekly reminder that we will be livetumblring both US premieres of Doctor Who tonight.

We’ll be posting gifs and caps and quotes from 9-10pm EDT as they happen in the episode. We’ll take a break for a bit, put up a few non-spoilery buffer posts for anyone rejoining us for the west coast premiere, and then we’ll do it again at 9pm PDT.

There will be possible spoilers.

You have been warned. UPDATE: the West Coast airing of Doctor Who is at both 6p and 9p tonight!

In case you can’t stand being away from your dashboard, here’s a link to Tumblr Savior.

Also, for no good reason whatsoever, here’s a video of Arthur Darvill’s cat:

Reminder: LIVE TUMBLRING 'DAY OF THE MOON' TONIGHT!

doctorwho:

We’re going to do something a little different this week…

We want to try live-tumblring the East Coast premiere of ‘Day of The Moon’ tonight.

we want to see what it’s like blogging them as things happen in the episode.

WE WILL BE POSTING SPOILERS from 6p-8p Pacific Daylight Time. THIS IS YOUR WARNING, West Coast…

we’ll stop for an hour and then be back to liveblog with the West Coast (with all new stuff) from 9p-10p your time. K?

Reblogging our own post for great justice.

If you’re on the west coast/mountain time, check out Gaila’s suggestion of hiding ‘Doctor Who’ posts with Tumblr Savior.

gaila said: Okay Official Doctor Who tumblr account, you are awesome and I am very much looking forward to seeing the liveblogging along with the show. That being said, I'd like to recommend Tumblr Savior for the followers who may want to be on Tumblr at the time it airs here on the East Coast yet don't want to be spoiled. I'm not sure if that kind of recommendation is allowed, but it's very handy!

For anyone who doesn't know, Tumblr Savior is a greasemonkey script that allows you to choose which words and phrases you want to be hidden from your dashboard, and it doesn't have to be a permanent block because you can always go back and remove those words from the blacklist. It's also available as an extension for Chrome and Safari, and I know from personal experience that the chrome extension is very easy to use. Not to mention handy when you're say, on Tumblr at work while everyone is watching TV.

TL;DR Love Whovian Tumblrs, but Tumblr Savior is helpful.

Brilliant!

LIVE TUMBLRING ‘DAY OF THE MOON’ TONIGHT!

We’re going to do something a little different this week…

We want to try live-tumblring the East Coast premiere of ‘Day of The Moon’ tonight.

Everyone is producing so many quality caps and quotes and gifs that we want to see what it’s like blogging them as things happen in the episode.

We tried it last week for the West Coast premiere of 'The Impossible Astronaut' and it was a lot of fun. So we’re trying it for the 9p EDT broadcast tonight.

This means that, for the West Coast and Mountain Time (and Aus/NZ/Asia/Gallifrey, natch), WE WILL BE POSTING SPOILERS from 6p-8p Pacific Daylight Time. THIS IS YOUR WARNING, West Coast…

we’ll stop for an hour and then be back to liveblog with the West Coast (with all new stuff) from 9p-10p your time. K?

We’re just going to try it this once. If you like it, we’ll do it again next week.

If you hate it, it’ll never happen again.

(Also, if you wouldn’t mind, please reblog this post to help warn the west coasters and mountain people.)

-Love, Us.
