The UK BBC One broadcast of the mid-season finale of Doctor Who begins in an hour!
We cannot express enough the importance of tagging your spoilers as ‘spoilers’.
So instead we are expressing it through this gif. And in case the single pin isn’t enough, we’ve added EVEN MORE PINS.
This episode is KIND OF THE BIGGEST EPISODE to hit the fandom IN YEARS so BE SURE TO TAG YOUR SPOILERS.
For everyone watching in time zones after the UK, install Tumblr Savior and blacklist the tags you think people will use tonight. Our personal blacklists include the tags ‘spoilers’ ‘dw spoilers’ ‘the angels take manhattan’ ‘wtf’ and every profane variation of ‘OMG’ that we can think of.
We WILL BE LIVETUMBLRING the U.S. premieres of The Angels Take Manhattan later tonight. We will post our usual warning about an hour out.
We will be back at 9pm PDT for the West Coast/Mountain Time BBC America broadcast of The Power of Three. See you then.
Alert! We Will Be Livetumblring tonight’s U.S. Premieres of Doctor Who: The Power of Three!
This is your regular Saturday warning that in one hour we will be liveposting gifs and quotes and screencaps and reactions to the east coast and west coast U.S. premieres of Doctor Who: The Power of Three! And we will accomplish this feat, sitting on a couch, in front of a television while in our pants.
This will take place from 9p-10p EDT, after which we’ll take a break to put some American pants on top of our English pants, post some non-spoilery Who things to act as a buffer, and then livetumbl again from 9p-10p Pacific Time.
And a reminder — because we’re doing it in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers during these hours!
BUT DO NOT BE SAD DONNA! EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY!
If you need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. <— Click that link for instructions on how to install it for all browsers. We will tag all of our posts ‘The Power of Three’ so blacklist it. We have emboldened and embiggened this text just in case you happen to wake up surprised at Demon’s Run and have no idea why your Tumblr dashboard is full of spoilers.
If you cannot install Tumblr Savior and cannot live without Tumblr for four hours, you should consider unfollowing and refollowing us. Anyone who also plans on liveblogging with us (we like it when you do that) should warn their followers as well.
For those not doing the unfollowing and refollowing thing, see you in one hour!
Expect a Behind the Scenes video in a bit followed by the Doctor Who Inside Look at ‘A Town Called Mercy’ in the morning.
Oh yeah, and the trailer for The Power of Three.
We’re out like Cassandra unoccupying bouncy castles at the end of New Earth.
When the 9p PDT West Coast premiere of ‘A Town Called Mercy’ comes on, we’ll be here.

Livetumblring that is.
Thanks for being on Tumblr with us while you watched Doctor Who: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.
We have a couple of posts coming up soon including a BBC One behind the scenes clip and a BBC America Insider so keep an eye out for them.
We’re going to sit back with our pack of jelly babies and browse tags now.
Because browsing tags after a new episode is
hilarious genius awesome frustrating nerve racking absolute fun.
That was fun, gang! (We have a gang now.) Time for a quick break.
We’ll be back at 9pm PDT for the West Coast BBC America premiere of Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.
If you have not seen Dinosaurs on a Spaceship yet DO NOT READ PAST THESE HERE WORDS.
We mean it. Now stop.
This will take place from 9p-10p EDT, after which we’ll take a break to check on our soufflés, put up some non-spoilery posts to act as a buffer, and then livetumbl again from 9p-10p Pacific Time.

For everyone else: see you in one hour.
After watching the episode three times in a row (we dvr’d the East Coast broadcast to watch again) we have a whole lot of feels to process.
And we’d be lying if we said we did not want them — it’s exactly these emotions that makes us watch Doctor Who. It’s just harder to reblog stuff when we’re screaming every ten seconds.
Anyway, we now return you to your regularly scheduled Doctor Who blog. Although, to warn you, it may become an Oswin Appreciation blog most of tomorrow.
Ok, time for a Doctor Who livetumblring break and we’ll be back and regenerated for the 9pm PDT broadcast!
Remember — if you’re following along and need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. <— That’s a link to instructions for all browsers. We will tag all of our posts ‘Asylum of the Daleks’. This will be the tag to avoid.
Announcement: it’s the return of Livetumblring the BBC America broadcast premieres of the Doctor Who!
For those who haven’t seen this sort of thing before, we reblog your reactions, your quotes, along with screenshots and gifs as they happen on the broadcast — it happens on your tv and you see it in your dashboard.
We do this from 9p-10:15p EDT, take a break to adjust the Helmic regulator, put up some non-spoilery posts during the break and then livetumbl again from 9:00p-10:15p Pacific Time.
Because we’re doing it in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers during these hours!
**SO** if you need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. <— That’s a link to instructions for all browsers. We will tag all of our posts ‘Asylum of the Daleks’. This will be the tag to avoid. We’re pinning this post to make sure that everyone sees *this specific piece of information*.
Alternate solutions include unfollowing and refollowing us or just stepping away from your dashboard for a bit b/c the UK premiere is just two hours away and we’re not the only ones who will be excited and posting reactions.
So yeah, for those of us who were with us for last season, we are so happy to have you back! For those who are #newtoWHO we are so happy you are here! We have it on good authority that this season is going to be amazeballs!
See you tonight!
It was fuuuuuuuuuuuun!!! Big thanks to Doctor Who Facebook and Anglophenia and every Whovian who chose to share their #dwcuk experience via Tumblr and Twitter. It’s like you were ganger versions of us and we were really there!
Remember that we’ll be posting the brand new trailer for Series 7 of Doctor Who tomorrow (Monday)!
If you weren’t here for our
spamathon live coverage, go back and browse our #dwcuk tag. There’s some great stuff in there.
Oh! And we found Doctor Who Facebook’s cat! Turns out it has its own chameleon circuit and was here with us all along!
In fact, it turns out she’s a huge fan of the Judoon and reblogged a few Judoon related dwcuk posts for us. Yay catkind!
And thus our livetumblring of Doctor Who Series 6 + the specials comes to an close….
But these are happy creys. We’ve said it before and hopefully proven it during every break — we aren’t going anywhere. We have GINORMOUS plans for 2012.
The new season of Doctor Who will premiere in Autumn 2012 (that’s Opposite-Autumn for you southern hemisphere folks.) That gives us just enough time to launch our
Nerdfighter Whovian World Takeover Plan for All of 2012 Or At Least Until Moffat Launches Series 7.
First off, we’ll be tumblring all throughout 2012 with Doctor Who news, events, fanart, reblogs of your stuff and exclusive content from here within the
Second, we want to figure out how to take the amazing Doctor Who Tumblr community IRL. What that means yet? We’re not sure but we’re think Doctor Who + Tumblr Whovian meetups around the Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff and SD Comic-Con could be cool. Maybe even meetups at other DW related cons/events in 2012 as well. Maybe? What do you think?
Additionally, We’re going to be playing the Doctor Who ‘Worlds in Time’ MMO Game a bunch.
And we’ll keep hosting challenges and giving away some fantastic Doctor Who gear in return for you showing us your creative side. (That was fun.)
So yeah. Thanks so much for joining us for all of the livetumblring and reblogging and general awesome fandomosity that is your absolutely fantastic selves. We’ve said it before and you’ve proven it all year long: you are the best fandom there is.
So keep posting, keep tagging, keep following and we’ll keep doing the things we do to make you not unfollow. Words. Order. Grammar. Whatever.
Taking a break from the liveblogging. Enjoy the 'Best of the Christmas Specials' if you’re watching on BBC America and we’ll be back in a little more than an hour. Cheers!
