We took a bunch of pictures with some of the amazing cosplayers that were waiting in line for the fan meetup!

We found some brilliant TARDIS (and a Tenth Doctor) cosplayers! Good work wheatleyscience, canaryblack, nerdoftherings327, galfawkes, artificialteddy, denimalpaca, and auntieunclecas!
Ladies and gentlemen, John Barrowman.
Also right now at Comic-Con, John and Carole Barrowman!
From the Comic-Con floor, an adipose and the Eleventh Doctor! Thanks Mike and Joy!

Following the huge popularity of the Eleventh Doctor range, The Wand Company have created an authentic Tenth Doctor Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control.
Painstakingly 3D scanned from the original screen-used prop, kindly loaned to The Wand Company by David Tennant himself, this Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver is a faithful clone, CNC machined from aluminium, crammed full of technology and is a fully functioning gesture-based universal remote control that looks, feels and works just like the real prop – utilising sound effects from the BBC archives.
Previewing on the ThinkGeek Booth at San Diego Comic-Con in July, the Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Remote will be available exclusively through selected retailers in the UK, US and Australia in October 2013 to coincide with BBC Worldwide’s Tenth Doctor celebrations, here on doctorwho.tv. The Screwdriver will retail at £69.95 GBP / $109.95 USD / $129.95 AUD.To further commemorate Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary year, The Wand Company is also launching a limited-edition gold and silver plated version of their enormously successful Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control. A small quantity will be available first at San Diego Comic-Con, and then from other selected retailers in the UK and US, but with only 250 of these special, individually laser-numbered Sonic Screwdrivers ever being produced, this is the ultimate collectible for Doctor Who fans.
So we haven’t announced that we’re doing anything at San Diego Comic Con this year, but if we did and if it happened to be a Doctor Who Fan Meetup of some sort, and if happened to be in a 20,000 square foot space with a 35-foot-wide LED GINORMOUS SCREEN…
We would probably want to ask you to submit your favorite and best Doctor Who fan art.
And that ‘ask’ would probably look like this:
OHMYGALLIFREY THEY’RE GIVING US A THIRTY-FIVE-FOOT-WIDE-LED-GINORMOUS-SCREEN SO WE CAN SHOW YOUR FAN ART AT THE DOCTOR WHO FAN MEETUP AT COMIC CON!!!! ASDJASDCLASDJCNKAWECNQWEFCNAWCKWNCKAWD!!!!!!!
We want you to submit your favorite Doctor Who related art so that we could hypothetically display it on a Ginormous Screen at the hypothetical Doctor Who Fan Meetup at San Diego Comic Con 2013.
It can be any Doctors, any Companions, any monsters, any era, any any throughout time and space.
And that also means that it can be something you’ve done before or something you’re yet to do.
If you know of someone who’s art you think should be included on The Ginormous Screen, you can submit other people’s work as long as you provide us with the name and url of the person who created it.
This is open to Whovians from anywhere and everywhere.
Send us the link to the art that you’d like to submit to us via fanmail, like this:
We’d fill the wall with our own fan art but, tbh, it all kind of looks like this:
The deadline for submissions is this Friday, June 28th at midnight EST.
WE ARE HYPOTHETICALLY EXCITED!
Also: we want to type the words GINORMOUS SCREEN again so okay now we’re done.
Hi there! I was wondering if you were doing anything for SD Comic Con this year, like you did last? I don’t have a badge but i’ll be going too all the off-site events, and wanted to make sure you’re priority #1!
These here words are not a formal announcement but yes, we are planning a Doctor Who fan event for San Diego Comic Con.
We’re currently deep in the planning stage so we can’t answer any questions about it now but we should have details soon.
There are supposed to be words here that make sense but we just can’t get over this video. This video is just… so just.
We’ve made a Facebook event for the Doctor Who panel in Hall H. Join us!
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan make their triumphant return to Comic-Con International for a panel and Q&A moderated by Doctor Who pundit and creator of the Nerdist, Chris Hardwick. They will be joined by star Arthur Darvill, who’s making his first pilgrimage to SDCC, along with award-winning lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat (Sherlock) and award-winning executive producer Caroline Skinner (The Fades).
