Doctor Who’s Quinquagenary → Doctor Who?

"What’s in a name? Names are just titles. Titles don’t tell you anything." -Tenth Doctor, The Girl in the Fireplace

"You chose yours. The man who makes people better. How sanctimonious is that?" -The Master, The Sound of the Drums

"Look my name, my real name, that is not the point. The name I chose is the Doctor. The name you choose, it’s like a promise you make." -Eleventh Doctor, The Name of the Doctor

The Doctor: Better (and snarkier) than everyone else since 1963.

DOCTOR WHO Revisited: SYLVESTER McCOY - July 27 BBC AMERICA

2013 is DOCTOR WHO’s 50th Anniversary. Each month, BBC AMERICA takes the TARDIS back in time with Brand New Specials on all eleven Doctors. This month, it’s Seventh Doctor SYLVESTER McCOY!

Don’t miss the Premiere of the seventh DOCTOR WHO: THE DOCTORS REVISITED Special, plus the classic Seventh Doctor story “Remembrance of the Daleks” Saturday July 27 at 7/6c only on BBC America.

Take an in-depth look at the seventh incarnation of the truly timeless Time Lord - who played the part from 1987 to 1989 and reprised the role in 1996’s “Doctor Who: The Movie.” With exclusive interviews with lead writer and executive producer STEVEN MOFFAT, Seventh Doctor companions Sophie Aldred (Ace) and Bonnie Langford (Mel Bush), and McCOY himself, examining the darker side of the Seventh Doctor, viewing some of his surreal adventures and discussing his most scientific foe, The Rani.

Then, in the Seventh Doctor story “Remembrance of the Daleks,” the Doctor and his companion Ace arrive in 1960s London, where they are caught up in a fierce battle on Earth between two violently opposing factions of Daleks, who will stop at nothing to destroy one another.

A Darker Side by ~SmudgeThistle
I’ve always found the dark side of the Doctor’s personality really intriguing. For a guy that is so wonderfully silly and kind, there is also something dangerous and unsettling beneath the surface. I think that side was always there but it really comes into play during his seventh regeneration. I think at that point in his life he has known so much loss and it shows. I think that the way his personality progresses through his regenerations is fascinating.
Trying out some new art techniques as well. I enjoy this style and might develop it further… Let me know what you think. :)
