(and we’re pinning it this time so that nobody can say that they missed this.)
This will take place from 9p-10p EDT, after which we’ll take a break to learn some manners from Mr. Manners, put up some non-spoilery posts in between, and then livetumbl again from 9p-10p Pacific Time.
And we’re sorry. We’re so sorry but because we’re doing it in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers during these hours.
If you need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. <— Click that link for instructions on how to install it for all browsers. We will tag all of our posts ‘A Town Called Mercy’. If you aren’t watching it live with us and haven’t already watched the episode, block this tag. No excuses!
If you refuse to install Tumblr Savior on account of all your reasons and cannot live without your dashboard, then feel free to unfollow and refollow us. It’s cool. Whatever. See how cool we’re being? (btw, if you plan on liveblogging as well, we suggest that you warn your followers as well.)
For everyone else: meet you later in a town called Mercy.
WARNING: Video Contains MAJOR “Asylum of the Daleks” Spoilers.
If you haven’t seen “Asylum of the Daleks” yet do not watch this video. Do not press play. Don’t do it. Stop. No. Really. Don’t.
Chris Hardwick sat down with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Caroline Skinner for a Q&A on Series 7 of Doctor Who.
Announcement: it’s the return of Livetumblring the BBC America broadcast premieres of the Doctor Who!
For those who haven’t seen this sort of thing before, we reblog your reactions, your quotes, along with screenshots and gifs as they happen on the broadcast — it happens on your tv and you see it in your dashboard.
We do this from 9p-10:15p EDT, take a break to adjust the Helmic regulator, put up some non-spoilery posts during the break and then livetumbl again from 9:00p-10:15p Pacific Time.
Because we’re doing it in real time — there is no way for us to avoid posting spoilers during these hours!
**SO** if you need to avoid spoilers, install Tumblr Savior. <— That’s a link to instructions for all browsers. We will tag all of our posts ‘Asylum of the Daleks’. This will be the tag to avoid. We’re pinning this post to make sure that everyone sees *this specific piece of information*.
Alternate solutions include unfollowing and refollowing us or just stepping away from your dashboard for a bit b/c the UK premiere is just two hours away and we’re not the only ones who will be excited and posting reactions.
So yeah, for those of us who were with us for last season, we are so happy to have you back! For those who are #newtoWHO we are so happy you are here! We have it on good authority that this season is going to be amazeballs!
See you tonight!
We’re going to do something a little different this week…
We want to try live-tumblring the East Coast premiere of ‘Day of The Moon’ tonight.
Everyone is producing so many quality caps and quotes and gifs that we want to see what it’s like blogging them as things happen in the episode.
We tried it last week for the West Coast premiere of ‘The Impossible Astronaut’ and it was a lot of fun. So we’re trying it for the 9p EDT broadcast tonight.
This means that, for the West Coast and Mountain Time (and Aus/NZ/Asia/Gallifrey, natch), WE WILL BE POSTING SPOILERS from 6p-8p Pacific Daylight Time. THIS IS YOUR WARNING, West Coast…
… we’ll stop for an hour and then be back to liveblog with the West Coast (with all new stuff) from 9p-10p your time. K?
We’re just going to try it this once. If you like it, we’ll do it again next week.
If you hate it, it’ll never happen again.
(Also, if you wouldn’t mind, please reblog this post to help warn the west coasters and mountain people.)
