MY HUMBLE LITTLE POST JUST GOT MORE THAN 500 NOTES OH MY GOD. Tumblr, I freaking love you.
Aw thank you! I think I’ll probably start with Doctor Who, that seems to be the one that’s the most popular, and I guess there has to be a reason for that :) You’re not pushy at all, I shamelessly plug Sherlock whenever I can!
…which is awesome because you all just made our own case for watching Doctor Who: the Tumblr fandom.
There were 542 notes on that post in the first 15 minutes(!)
This is a fandom that supports one another.
Granted, not every post gets reblogged by the Doctor Who Tumblr but to look at the notes alone is missing the point: the strength of this fandom isn’t in us — it’s in you.
You talk to and reblog and message one another.
You look at the Doctor Who tag to see what others have to say and share.
You like someone’s post, then you follow, then they look at your blog and follow back. You form friendships, get into fights over characters, and make up. You create stuff, curate stuff, and you share what you’ve found.
Here, in the 50th year of the longest running story on television, it’s easy to see what has made being a fan of this show so wonderful: you.
Thank you, Whovians.
Who’s my special guest on BBC America’s The #BritList… The one &only John Barrowman @Team_Barrowman What a lucky girl I am. We’ll be talking all things Doctor Who, hitting your screens in the holidays
