For my Production and Set Design class in fall term we each had to build and paint our own flat which is essentially a canvas (basically trust us to handle power tools by ourselves without fucking up). afterwards we could take it home and do whatever we wanted with it. so I did this. Yup.

Doctor Who won two Hugo Awards last night!
The first was for the ‘Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form award:
Doctor Who: “The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang,” written by Steven Moffat; directed by Toby Haynes (BBC Wales)
The second was a book award under the category ‘Best Related Work’:
Chicks Dig Time Lords: A Celebration of Doctor Who by the Women Who  Love It, edited by Lynne M. Thomas and Tara O’Shea

In Chicks Digs Time Lords, a host of award-winning female novelists,  academics and actresses come together to celebrate the phenomenon that  is Doctor Who, discuss their inventive involvement with the show’s  fandom and examine why they adore the series.
