Vote in the Anglo Fan Favorites Tournament, Women of 2013: Semifinals
Anglophenia’s Anglo Fan Favorites tourney is in the semifinal round and look who’s made it — River Song Alex Kingston.

Meet this year’s wild card. No Doctor Who actress has ever made our Final Four — until now. Alex Kingston, who plays River Song on the series, has been carried through this year’s tournament on a wave of renewed fan love, and her Kinglets are out for blood. Their dismantling of 2011 finalist JK Rowling in this year’s Round of 16 demonstrated their fearlessness, and they are going to need every ounce of that courage to take on Ms. Bonham Carter.
The rules remain the same: each week you’ll vote for winners in a round of matchups, narrowing down the field until we have one woman left — the Anglo Fan Favorites Woman of 2013. Each round is re-seeded so that the previous round’s top vote-getter faces the woman advancing with the lowest vote total. Vote hourly to make sure your favorites move on to the next round.

Semifinals voting ends Thursday, September 26 at 11 am ET.

Hello! i am a fan of Matt from China. Could you please help us, the fans in China? There is a vote in BBCA of Matt and Andrew Scott… Matt seems to lose. We all know it is the last year for Matt in DW, and we sincerely hope he can win. It’s midnight now in China. Few people can vote for Matt. So could you please to ask for help on Tumblr? Vote in the Anglo Fan Favorites Tournament, Men of 2013: Round 2…

Before anyone panics, Benedict Cumberbatch has made our Round of 16 in our tournament of Anglophile fan favorites. But the odds-on favorite to winning it all was less than one percentage point from being out in the first round, which would unquestionably have been the greatest upset in the three years we’ve run this feature.
Our takeaway? Never underestimate the enduring devotion of Richard Armitage fans, who have, each year, impressed us with their amazing mobilization in support of their hero. They almost pulled off the unthinkable in testing the Cumberbabes. So there’s no shame for Armitage in his defeat: he’ll be a formidable presence for years to come.
Cumberbatch was our top vote-getter of last week, which means, according to our rules, he faces Andrew Garfield, who had the lowest vote total of Round 1′s winners. Does the Spider-Man star have the fan support to make this battle competitive, or will he be trounced? Meanwhile, Tom Hiddleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Martin Freeman, and others have all moved on the Round of 16. (Irishman Andrew Scott squeaked by John Barrowman in another nail-biter.)
Which eight will advance to next week’s quarterfinals? That’s up to you. As always, spread the word, call in reinforcements, and most importantly, VOTE!(Round 2 voting closes Thursday, August 8 at 11 am ET.)

BBC Doctor Who Blog wants to know Would You Trust Clara?

They say:

On Saturday we confirmed that the mystery of Clara Oswald will at last be solved in the series finale, The Name of the Doctor. ‘All I can say,’ Jenna-Louise Coleman told us,  ‘is that Clara hasn’t just met the Doctor three times before…’

But for now, the questions remain. How can Clara have died twice and yet still be alive and apparently unaware of her own impossibility and why has the TARDIS been so wary of her? Even the Doctor has admitted to his new companion, ‘I look at you every single day and I don’t understand a thing about you…’

The Time Lord seems to have accepted she’s not, in his own words, a trick or a trap, beaming with relief as he exclaimed during Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, ‘You’re just Clara!’

But if you were in the Doctor’s boots would you be quite so sure about ‘the impossible girl’? With all the mystery surrounding her, our question to is simple… If you were the Doctor, would you trust Clara?

There’s even a poll. So click through and cast your vote.

The BBC Doctor Who blog wants to know: What's the spookiest episode of Doctor Who ever?

Blink? Midnight? The Web of Fear? The Empty Child? The Angels Take Manhattan? Something else? The BBC Doctor Who Blog wants to know what episode sends you hiding behind the sofa.

Hide - the Doctor’s new adventure on Saturday on BBC One – is a wonderfully spooky story set in a desolate haunted house. Brrrr! You sent us lots of suggestions and the top 12 have made it through to this selection… We’ll whittle it down to a final three on Friday but you can take part in this round by voting for any one of these adventures… Which did you think was the spookiest..?
You can now vote for your spookiest by visiting the homepage and casting your vote in the section to the lower right hand side of the page.

Notice how Doctor Who is #2?
Notice how that makes it not #1?
I don’t know about you lot, but I see that as a problem.
