As the Doctor himself said on Trenzalore, he’s had loads of bodies. That’s because the Doctor is a Time Lord, and Time Lords have the ability to regenerate their bodies when they’re worn out or dying. This means that his old body transforms into a new one, along with a new appearance and persona – a brand new Doctor! But underneath these surface changes, he’s still the same man, the same hero and adventurer.
The series finale gave us glimpses of many Doctors, including the very first - that was the white-haired figure that Clara spoke to at the beginning of the episode. We saw the ‘impossible girl’ interrupt him as he was about to steal a TARDIS, advising him to take the time machine that he still travels in today. The Second Doctor was the man wearing a big, furry coat and the Third was behind the wheel of his trusty old car, Bessie. It’s clear that every Doctor has a distinctive look – tall and handsome, short and impish, old, young… All different! But what’s more exciting is their unique personalities and eccentricities - you can read more by following the links below. You’ll see that the Doctor has always been a hero, but in different ways in different times.
The guide shows the Doctors - click on any of them and you’ll be taken to a page that gives you the low down on that particular Doctor. What they were like, who they travelled with and what caused them to regenerate. If you want to find out more, simply follow the links to their stories and you’ll discover some brilliant clips from their adventures, galleries, fact files and much more. We’ll be adding much more in the coming months, but for now, here’s a guide to the greatest hero of them all: The Doctor….

simplegameofgenius recently asked me if I could make a tutorial on how I did my Lord of the Rings nails, so, here it is. If you’re interested, click on the read more.
I used this same decal technique when I did my Doctor Who nails back in August. :)
Check out billythebrime’s Doctor Who nail art here.
The Doctor Who Facebook Page has a contest where you can win the TARDIS speaker system we posted about recently:
The TARDIS speaker has landed and brings your sounds to life through wireless, Bluetooth technology!
We have one (RRP: £150) to give away to one lucky winner who can answer the following 5 sound related Who questions.
This competition closes at 23:59 BST on Sunday 2nd June 2013 and is only open to UK and US residents aged 18 years or over. See our full Terms & Conditions (available on the “Rules” tab at the top of the app) for details.
Well, that was unexpected.
So… The Way Station, the bar with the TARDIS, is about 4 blocks from my apartment and I go there several times a week generally. I have friends there and usually, during the week it’s quiet(ish) enough for me to sit in my “nook” (back next to the TARDIS) and write.
On Sundays they show movies or TV shows and when Doctor Who is airing, they show the previous night’s episode. Today they were showing last night’s season finale… aaaaand we had some surprise visitors.
Holy cow did everyone’s teeth hit the floor.
I really hope everyone was on their best behavior and Matt and Steven didn’t feel too overwhelmed. Also, apologies to Sue Vertue on behalf of the fan who forgot herself and basically followed Sue into the TARDIS/bathroom. We are all beside ourselves to host you at our favorite bar and hope we weren’t too much for you. But then, I suppose, if you decide to visit a known Doctor Who bar when they are showing the season finale in order to watch the screening, I imagine you know what you’re getting yourself into.
Anyway, thank you so much for coming. It’s personal things like this that make such a HUGE fandom feel so small and special.
Steven Moffat says thank you to the crowd at The Way Station (by filthysize)
I had heard via The Way Station FB, and through various Twitter sources, that there was a chance that Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue would be at the bar tonight to watch the finale of this latest series of “Doctor Who.”
There were three officially scheduled showings: 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5:00 PM. But then it was suggested by the lovely folks at The Way Station that they could maybe do a 6:30 showing as well (5:00 and 6:30/6:45 are more their usual screening times). Sue Vertue then asked if there was in fact going to be a 6:30 showing.
So I planned my day.
Because this show is making you STRONGER!
A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR EVERYONE WHO GOT THE DVD EARLY AND MANAGED TO KEEP ALL OF THAT A SECRET
THANK YOU
Ten minutes until the U.S. and Canadian premiere of The Name of The Doctor. Might as well give this very important image post a signal boost.

But our inbox is a little wobbly so here are a few key items of note:
We will be livetumblring tonight’s BBC America premiere of The Name of the Doctor. Here’s how to avoid spoilers (warn your followers!)
Have you seen the special clip of Matt Smith and David Tennant? Watch it here.
The 50th Anniversary episode premieres November 23, 2013 unless you live in a country that writes its date as ‘23 November 2013’ which probably means that you’re watching Eurovision right now…

…and aren’t reading this post. Either way, we’ll have details about the Doctor Who 50th soon.

Looking back even further, we’ve done 30 day memes, alternate universe Doctor Who memes, scavenger hunts, Tee Tuesdays, we’ve asked you to help us eat cookies, we’ve done Whovian Wednesdays, Fan Art Fridays, we’ve even hidden contests inside of other posts…
So what should we do tomorrow? More of the same? Something new?

We understand that a small number of US fans have received in error their DVD edition of Series 7 Part 2 early. We respectfully ask those fans not to divulge information or post content publicly so that fellow fans who have yet to see the episodes do not have their viewing pleasure ruined.
If everyone keeps the secrets safe until next Saturday we will release a special new clip featuring material of the Tenth AND Eleventh Doctor!
I refuse to go through my front door because this angel. Don’t blink!
