How many showings will there be?

‘The Day of the Doctor’ on November 23rd is a global simulcast premiere screening. This is the kind of thing we’d usually only do in one city at one event. We’ve stepped up for the 50th Anniversary and will host simulcast screenings in eleven cities at the same time it is airing on BBC America.

In addition to Saturday’s special screenings, there will be an additional cinema event on Monday, November 25th in the evening at 300 cinemas across the U.S.

Will these be a Monday night screening near me?

To find out if there’s a screening near you, go to FathomEvents.com on Friday, October 25th at 9:00am ET.

Are the screenings all ages?

Yes! The screenings are all ages! Doctor Who is for everyone!

What time should I get to the cinema? Can me and my friends sit together?

We suggest that you arrive at cinema early as we anticipate that the theaters will be seating on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you do get there early, remember that Doctor Who fans love to celebrate waiting in line almost as much as 50th Anniversaries and frequently use #DWLineCon to chat on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr when they’re waiting.

If you’re still worried about not getting enough seats together or getting there early enough, call your local cinema to see what they suggest.

What are some tips for celebrating during the screenings?

Since you probably got to the cinema early and possibly had to wait in line, you may have already made some new friends. We love that! Fans around the world will be talking to each other using the hashtags #SaveTheDay and #TheDayofTheDoctor. Join the conversations on Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, and Vine by posting your own photos and videos.

And remember you’re also there to watch the special episode, so please be thoughtful about others around you and shhhh!

I had a problem with my ticket order — who do I contact?

We’re so sorry you had a problem! It depends on who you purchased your ticket from.

For Saturday screenings you should contact customer service at Fandango (http://fandango.custhelp.com/app/ask or 866-857-5191) or Cinemark (1-800-Cinemark or sitesupport@cinemark.com).

For Monday night screenings, contact Fathom Events (info@fathomevents.com or 800-295-8587).

Why aren’t you screening at my local cinema?

We wish we could screen the 50th Anniversary in every cinema throughout all of space and time, but unfortunately we can’t. The Day of the Doctor will also be simulcast on BBC America (click here to see your regional channel listing.)

I didn’t get tickets for Saturday - should I still buy tickets for Monday?

Yes! If you want to be able to see the 50th Anniversary surrounded in an exciting cinema filled with other wonderful Doctor Who fans, we strongly encourage you to go to the Monday night screenings. Make it a party! Dress up in your favorite cosplay outfit, grab your sonic screwdriver and celebrate ‘Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor’.

I live in the [a country other than the United States.] Will there be 3D screenings near me?

All information about screenings outside of the US is available at doctorwho.tv.

Will I still be able to watch The Day of The Doctor in the U.S. if I am unable to get tickets?

The episode will also be available to watch on November 24th via Apple iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, Microsoft XBOX Video, Samsung Hub, Sony PSN, VDIO and Vudu.

I have an extra ticket - how do I find someone who needs one near me?

Lucky you! Do you know a Doctor Who fan in need? If you don’t, maybe this is a great time to meet one. Ask your friends to ask their friends and maybe you can meet someone new to go with. Otherwise this could be a great opportunity to introduce someone else you know to Doctor Who. Tickets on you - popcorn on them.
